The American Girl Literature class provides the ultimate opportunity for fun, while learning about historical eras, virtues, and problem solving.  In the American Girl class the students read books about 2 American Girls each semester. In the Fall, 2016 semester they read the books about Melody first. This was especially exciting because Melody was from Detroit.  The stories took place during the 1960’s and covered issues such as civil rights, racism and Motown music.  As part of a celebration for finishing the book series the girls had a party complete with a karaoke machine. Watch the video to see Pia and Lindsey at the Farmington Hills campus! You’ll be singing along and tapping your toes by the end, we promise!
