Are you in need of encouragement and support in your homeschooling journey?
Do you want to find unique ways to get kids to do school?
Do you struggle to get the house clean and dinner made every night?
Do you struggle to make your schedules work?
Do you want to learn more about different types of curriculum?
Do you want to make friends in the homeschool community?
Do you want advice on how to “do it all”?
Do you have wisdom to share?
Well, you are not alone, nor should you be! We were never meant to do this alone, we need others to come alongside us and help. Homeschooling is a big decision and can be a very difficult and challenging task at times, but can also be very rewarding!
Our first Homeschool Chat/Support group of 2018 will begin in early February. During these casual get-togethers, we will talk about resources, needs, challenges and triumphs of homeschooling as well as an opportunity to meet up with like-minded parents. New and veteran homeschoolers are both encouraged to attend. Upcoming topics include curriculum, teaching styles, grading and practical advice for managing your home and homeschooling (and working for some!). You are welcome to bring your children, along with a few quiet toys or books to keep them from getting bored. Pre-registration is not required; come as you are! Upcoming meet ups:
Friday, February 9 at 9:30; Shelby Campus
Tuesday, February 13 at 9:30; Rochester Hills Campus
