Teacher Spotlight: Megan Timberlake, Drama Teacher

Teacher Megan Timberlake
Wizard of Oz

On Friday, October 12th I met with Mrs. Megan Timberlake. She is the new drama and gym teacher at Homeschool Connections. When I asked her how long she had been teaching at Homeschool Connections she said it was her first year teaching here, since she used to live in Colorado.

She only teaches at the Shelby Township campus, but she does teach at HighPoint Hybrid Academy. Mrs. Timberlake teaches lower elementary through middle school. She would like to teach more theater classes in the future.

If Mrs. Timberlake HAD to pick between University of Michigan and Michigan State, she would pick the University of Michigan. She also has a rescue dog from Puerto Rico named Regulus/Reggie after the Harry Potter character.

Mrs. Timberlake plays the viola, too. And her favorite type of food is Chinese food (I totally agree!) She knows a little Spanish and Pig-Latin, and her favorite color is teal.

Her Drama Club class will be putting on a play on December 7th, 2018.  They will be performing the “Wizard of Oz”. The play will be during 2nd hour.
