Beth Berryman

Beth has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University with a major in Special Education (Cognitive Impairment) and a minor in Psychology. She also has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an Autism Endorsement from Oakland University. Beth was a special education teacher for Capac Community Schools from 1992 to 1995 and then for Rochester Community Schools from 1995 to 2008. She loved teaching, but cut back to part-time when her first daughter was born in 2000.

Beth and her husband homeschool their two daughters, ages 17 and 15. Her daughters began their education in public school, but when this setting was not working for their oldest, Beth and her husband decided to try homeschooling. Beth resigned from her position with Rochester Community Schools in June of 2008 and they began their homeschooling journey the following fall. It has been a wonderful experience.

Beth has worked for Homeschool Connections for 5 years in many roles including campus supervisor, teacher, registrar and student services coordinator. In her spare time, Beth enjoys playing the flute, reading, camping, having coffee with friends, and spending time with her family.
