Anastacia Maurer is a homeschool graduate and in her final year of studies at Oakland University. She is a member of the Honors College with a double major in History and German Language and Literature. Before Homeschool Connections, Anastacia worked in museum education at Meadow Brook Hall and at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. This summer Anastacia lived in Germany, where she studied German literature and conducted research for a forthcoming article on religion in medieval Europe. Anastacia has always been passionate about education and in addition to her experience in public history, she has taught within the Honors College at Oakland University. Anastacia credits her love for learning to her own background in homeschooling, and she is excited to return Homeschool Connections as an instructor this fall.
